blue flower

I named this post "blue flower," just because I am wearing a blue tank top and a blouse with a flowered print. Who knew that blue flowers mean tranquility and peace? Similarly, I had a pretty calm, tranquil day.

This is my rabbit, Maybelline, he enjoyed the cool day outside with me.

flower printed blouse, (stolen from my mother) Sonoma (4 dollars)
blue tank top, Old Navy (5 dollars)
white shorts, Union Bay (hand me downs)
necklace, Freckle Face (40 dollars)

summer's spell

Is it just me or does summer sort of cast a spell on us? I mean come on what says summer more then a vase full of hydrangea's and a slice of pound cake you made from your own two hands? Well I sure like it. Maybe this summer spell is exactly why I was to lazy to actually put a nice outfit on today. So I posted the most beautiful thing in my house. Ta-da! Also today I made 5 dollars selling some of these beautiful hydrangea's.

But enough about me how was your Saturday afternoon?

rainy days

It was a rainy week at camp but hey it was worth it...somehow. Funny story: there is a new family camping with us this week and they had just moved to Ohio from Canada, so their children have heard things like, "don't cry, or the tears will freeze to your face," and "you have 3 minutes to get out of your car to another warm place before you get frostbite." So when our camp director said, "It doesn't rain at camp," he meant it never rains in our hearts. But these two girls took it seriously, and when it started to thunderstorm at 5:30 in the morning one sat up in her bed and said to her mom "he said it doesn't rain here!" But seriously camp is a lot of fun, people come from all over Ohio, and some farther (Georgia and Maryland). But anyways I have a total of 45 bug bites and you probably won't be seeing much of my legs anytime soon just because I wont be able to shave until they all disappear.

Although camp isn't a fashion show everyone still tries to dress up a little on the last day, hence my outfit (I apologize for the lighting in this picture). Also you are probably all wondering why this isn't a picture of Nora. Well Nora here forgot to mention that this is also my fashion blog. I'm Ann Marie, Nora's co-blogger. Soon I'll have my own sort of sign-off name, don't worry.

So let's get to my outfit:
color blocked dress, Wet Seal (20 dollars)
black leggings, Target (10 dollars)
pale pink flats, Urban Outfitters (10 dollars)
pink cardigan, (thrift store find) Banana Republic (4 dollars
)

soft slumber

Yeah, this doesn't have anything to do with our fashion, but it was too cute to pass up:

My cat, Midnight, was taking a nap on the living room floor in the cutest position and I just couldn't resist snapping a picture.

leisurely strolls and such

Summer is here, summer is here. Hooray! This means long days and hot temperatures, busy bees and pajamaed cats. (Get it?)

Anyway, this past weekend I spent time on Larchmere Boulevard, a small shopping/art district. I had a huge lunch (consisting of a Reuben sandwich, chips, a pickle, and some fruit) and even found a cute collector's card in a gallery. The best part? Lounging in a huge bookstore that even had its own kitty to match!

I'd recommend getting yourself a nice iced coffee and hanging around one, too. And that goes for both the bookstore and the cat. Oh, and the Reuben sandwich.
